TradingView Automation & PickMyTrade

How do I connect TradingView to Tradovate using PickMyTrade?

Create a PickMyTrade account, link your Tradovate login via OAuth, copy the webhook URL PickMyTrade gives you, and paste it into your TradingView alert's webhook field. Your alert message needs to be JSON formatted so PickMyTrade knows the symbol, side, and quantity. Full setup typically takes about 5 minutes and requires no coding.

How fast is PickMyTrade execution to Tradovate?

PickMyTrade advertises sub-200ms execution from TradingView alert fire to Tradovate order placement under normal conditions. Actual speed varies with TradingView alert latency, your internet connection, and Tradovate API load during news events.

Can I automate multiple Tradovate accounts with one TradingView alert?

Yes — PickMyTrade supports multi-account copying so one alert fires across every linked Tradovate account you list in the payload. This is the typical setup for traders running multiple prop firm evaluations or combines at once.

Tradovate Pricing & Fees

How does Tradovate's pricing work?

Tradovate offers three plans: Free (no monthly fee but higher per-contract commissions), Monthly (~$99/month with lower commissions), and Lifetime (one-time payment ~$1,499 with the lowest commissions). Commissions are roughly $1.29/side on Free, $0.99/side on Monthly, and $0.59/side on Lifetime for standard contracts.

Does Tradovate charge platform or data fees?

The platform (web, desktop, mobile) is included, but real-time market data is separate. Non-professional traders pay around $12/month for the CME Group Level I bundle or around $41/month for Level II across CME, CBOT, NYMEX, and COMEX. Professional users pay around $156/month per exchange.

Is there a liquidation fee on Tradovate?

Yes — Tradovate charges a $50 liquidation fee when the system auto-liquidates your account for violating risk settings or going below margin. Multiple competitors don't charge one, so it's worth noting before funding.

Prop Firms on Tradovate

Which prop firms use Tradovate?

Prop firms that clear through Tradovate include Apex Trader Funding, Take Profit Trader, My Funded Futures, Elite Trader Funding, TradeDay, Earn2Trade, Tradeify, Bulenox, and FundedNext Futures. Topstep historically used Tradovate but migrated to its own TopstepX platform built on ProjectX.

Can I automate a prop firm Tradovate account with PickMyTrade?

Yes — any prop firm that runs on Tradovate works with PickMyTrade, and PickMyTrade supports 14+ prop firm partners overall. Your prop firm's rules (daily loss, trailing drawdown, consistency) still apply exactly the same as manual trading — automation does not bypass them.

Security & Regulation

Is Tradovate regulated?

Yes — Tradovate LLC is a registered Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) with the CFTC and a member of the NFA. You can look them up by name on NFA's BASIC database. Customer futures funds are held in segregated accounts per CFTC Regulation 1.20.
