Tradovate Lifetime Plan: $1,499 or Installments

The Tradovate Lifetime plan is a one-time $1,499 payment. If dropping the full amount at once isn't ideal, you can split it into four monthly installments of $499 instead. Either way you land on the cheapest commission tier Tradovate sells, and the recurring monthly membership charge disappears for good. Here's what that fee covers, the exact steps to switch your plan over, and how to tell whether it pays off for the way you trade.

What the $1,499 Actually Buys

Lifetime isn't only about skipping the monthly bill. For active traders the bigger draw is the commission rate, which sits well below what the Free and Monthly plans charge on every contract you touch. These were the rates as of July 2026, so confirm the current numbers on Tradovate's live pricing page before you commit:

Plan Membership fee Micros (per side) Standard e-mini (per side)
Free$0 / month$0.39$1.29
Monthly$99 / month$0.29$0.99
Lifetime$1,499 one-time (or 4 × $499)$0.09$0.59

Those numbers are the platform's cut. Exchange, clearing, and NFA fees still apply on top, exactly as they do on every plan. For the full side-by-side, see the per-contract commission rates.

One thing worth running the math on: four installments of $499 add up to $1,996, roughly $500 more than the $1,499 lump sum. The installment route exists for cash flow, not savings. If you can cover the one-time payment, it's the cheaper path by a wide margin.

How to Upgrade to the Lifetime Plan

You do this inside the Tradovate Web Trader, not on the marketing site. Sign in to your own self-directed account first, since the plan applies to a personal Tradovate account rather than a prop-firm evaluation.

1

Open Application Settings › Subscriptions

Sign in to the Tradovate Web Trader and click the Application Settings button in the top-right corner. Open the Subscriptions tab at the top of the settings panel.

2

Start the Upgrade and Pick Lifetime

Find the Membership section and click Upgrade. The available tiers appear side by side, Free, Monthly, and Lifetime. Select Lifetime.

3

Choose Upfront or the 4 Payments Option

To pay the full $1,499 now, leave the payment option as it is. To spread it into four monthly charges of $499, switch the 4 Payments toggle on before you continue. That toggle is the only thing separating the two billing paths, so double-check it reads the way you want.

4

Confirm, Pay, and Re-Log In

Click Upgrade at the bottom of the screen. Confirm the charge and pay with your account balance or a credit/debit card. Log out and back in so the new plan shows on your Settings › Plans page. Heads up on one quirk: moving from Monthly to Lifetime isn't prorated, so you won't get credit for the month you've already paid. Time the switch near your renewal date if you want to avoid the overlap.

Is the Lifetime Plan Worth It?

Measure it against the $99 Monthly plan. On membership fees alone, $1,499 divided by $99 is about 15 months. Trade longer than that and Lifetime is already ahead before a single commission enters the picture. Then stack the per-side savings: $0.40 cheaper on standard contracts and $0.20 cheaper on micros than Monthly. Push real volume and that gap adds up quickly. Trade a few times a month or you're still testing a strategy, and the Free or Monthly tier is the saner place to start.

One caveat for prop-firm traders: on an Apex, Topstep, or similar evaluation account, your commissions and plan are set by the firm, not by buying a personal Lifetime membership. Those terms vary by firm and account size, so check your firm's current rules before assuming the Lifetime rate applies to you.
