Tradecopia's pricing page opens on its quarterly view, so the first numbers you see — $34.99, $59.99 and $119.99 a month — are commitment rates billed every three months at $104.98, $179.98 and $359.98. The monthly list prices are $49.99 for Pro, $79.99 for Pro+ Lite and $149.99 for Pro+. The tier names matter more, because they decide where it runs.

Pro is a desktop app for Windows and macOS, and its help centre says the machine must stay on. Hosting, Hard Lock and TradingView strategy alerts all start at Pro+ Lite, so the honest match for a cloud product is Pro+ Lite, not Pro. A TopstepX account needs a ProjectX API subscription from Topstep either way.

Two things go Tradecopia's way. Desktop Pro at $419.92 a year is $80.08 below our $500, if you keep a machine running and skip alert automation. And its flat price covers unlimited follower accounts across separate logins and firms, where we charge per broker login — at three or four logins its meter is kinder than ours.

Overview

Correcting our own page: PickMyTrade's risk controls

An earlier version of this page said PickMyTrade has no equivalent built-in risk controls, leaving risk to your broker or prop firm. That was wrong, it was repeated in four languages, and this is the correction.

PickMyTrade has daily and weekly profit and loss limits on each connected account, trading-time windows, a pause switch, a news filter on Tradovate, and quantity multipliers per follower account. They are settings you configure, not a promise a rule cannot be broken. Risk settings documentation.

Tradecopia's risk tooling is real and in places goes further, which is why the claim was worth correcting rather than replacing with another. Its consistency calculator, Prop Firm Tracker, Distance to Drawdown, Position Reconciler and Hard Lock have no PickMyTrade equivalent. Two limits matter: its weekly limits are Tradovate-only, and on desktop its Rithmic risk engine runs only while the app is open.

Why PickMyTrade

Why traders choose PickMyTrade

The alert does the whole trade

The alert becomes a live order with the stop and target attached, on the $50 plan. Tradecopia's alert route costs $79.99 and places the entry only. Alert setup.

Risk limits that do not need an open window

Daily and weekly limits, trading-time windows and a pause switch run in the cloud, not in an application you must leave open. Risk settings.

No quarterly symbol chore

Automatic futures rollover and symbol mapping mean an alert written on NQ can trade MNQ, and it keeps working when the front month changes. Tradecopia's webhook needs the exact contract, such as MESM6, updated each quarter; TradingView's continuous symbol cannot be routed.

Cloud is the price, not an upgrade

Running with your computer off is what $50 buys, not a tier above it. No VPS to rent and nothing to install, Interactive Brokers excepted.

Futures is not the whole list

Stocks and options through Interactive Brokers, TradeStation and Tradier, forex and CFDs through TradeLocker and Match-Trader. Each broker login is its own $50 subscription, same features. Broker guides.

Honest take

When Tradecopia is the better choice

You copy trades you place by hand, across platforms.

A leader on Rithmic or NinjaTrader can drive followers elsewhere, and trades placed in Sierra Chart, ATAS or Quantower on a Rithmic account are copied. Ours runs Tradovate admin to Tradovate followers, and NinjaTrader accounts reach us only when they log in through Tradovate.

Your accounts sit under several broker logins.

Its flat price covers unlimited follower accounts on every tier, whatever the number of logins or firms. We charge per login: four logins means paying us four times and Tradecopia once.

You want the prop-firm business tooling.

Its consistency calculator with firm presets, Prop Firm Tracker, Distance to Drawdown, Position Reconciler, Prevent Hedging and built-in journal have no PickMyTrade equivalent.

You want a lock you cannot talk yourself out of.

Hard Lock, on the web tiers, blocks trading on a locked account and cannot be removed before it expires. Our limits can be changed at any moment — the point for some traders, the problem for others.

You want macOS, local credentials, or the cheapest annual commitment.

Desktop Pro is $419.92 a year against our $500, and Tradecopia carries more reviews and a better rating.

Switching

Moving from Tradecopia

  1. 1

Start the trial and connect one broker. Tradovate signs in with OAuth; the other seven have setup guides.

  2. 2

Rebuild the alert, and drop the contract month. Generate the PickMyTrade JSON and paste it into your TradingView alert with our webhook URL. Tradecopia's format does not carry across.

  3. 3

Set exits and limits before you go live. Choose the stop and target method, any trailing or breakeven rule, then the daily and weekly limits.

  4. 4

Test on a demo account, then switch one at a time. Check the order at your broker and remove that account from Tradecopia's copy group first — its help centre warns about duplicate orders from a tool left running.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does PickMyTrade have built-in risk controls?

Yes. Daily and weekly profit and loss limits on each connected account, trading-time windows, a pause switch, a news filter on Tradovate, and quantity multipliers per follower account. An earlier version of this page said otherwise; that was wrong. They are settings you configure, not a guarantee.

What does Tradecopia cost per month?

The monthly list prices are $49.99 for Pro, $79.99 for Pro+ Lite and $149.99 for Pro+, checked 22 September 2026. The lower numbers shown first are quarterly commitment rates, and its yearly totals are $419.92, $719.91 and $1,439.90. PickMyTrade is $50 a month or $500 a year.

Can Tradecopia run my TradingView strategy?

Partly, and only from Pro+ Lite at $79.99 a month. Its webhooks place entry orders only, with no take profit or stop loss; the leader must be on Rithmic, Tradovate or ProjectX, a prop leader's firm one of six named firms, and the alert must carry the contract month. Its help centre still says webhooks are not supported.

Does Tradecopia work with my computer off?

Only on the web tiers. Its desktop Pro plan runs on your own Windows or Mac machine, which its help centre says must stay on, and for Rithmic accounts the risk engine is active only while the app is open. We run in the cloud, except on Interactive Brokers.

Do I need a credit card to try either one?

PickMyTrade's 7-day trial takes no credit card and covers every feature. Tradecopia requires a payment method to start, converts automatically, limits the trial to one per user, household, device and payment method, and offers none on Pro+. Its purchases are final and non-refundable.

Which one copies trades I place by hand?

Both, with different reach. Tradecopia copies any leader to any follower across Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic and TopstepX, including trades placed in Sierra Chart, ATAS or Quantower on a Rithmic account. We copy a Tradovate admin account to Tradovate followers, so cross-platform mirroring is theirs.
